Sir Ian Botham Adelaide Hills Chardonnay
This wine was made by Sir Ian at The Lane Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, from some of the finest fruits that Sir Ian has ever seen.
This is a remarkable wine with a noble feel, serious complexity, and an immense finish.
The colour is a Brilliant white gold with orange blossom, white peach, and hints of almond which are combined with complex toasty oak aromas to deliver a bouquet of depth and intrigue.
It has Beautifully luscious, full-bodied aromas on the nose which follow through to the palate with opulent white peach, grapefruit, and lemon myrtle blending with fine acidity and well-integrated oak. This is a wine of structure and elegance and will develop gracefully as it ages.
This Sir Ian Botham Chardonnay has just been listed in the Matthew Jukes top 100 wines of Australia 2019/2010 which is a tremendous Accolade.
Sir Ian Botham is arguably one of the greatest cricketers that England has ever produced. Known as an all-rounder of the sport, his bowling skills were as feared by opponents as his batting triumphs were rejoiced by his team-mates and country.
For the last 40 years, Sir Ian has been nurturing one of his other great passions in life – wine and the art of making it. He now brings you this range of first class wines from one of his favourite wine producing countries, Australia.
